5 Business Blogging Tips
If you are just starting a business blog here are 5 business blogging tips to help get you going.
Know who your readers are
You have to know who your readers are if you expect to have a successful blog. Without the knowledge of who your readers are, how will you know what you are writing about on your blog is what your readers want? The best way to find out what your readers are most interested in is to track your posts to see what posts are being read the most and write more about those topics.
Post Often
One of the most critical things with a blog is that you post often. Posting once a month will not cut it. If your visitors see that you post on a regular basis they are much more likely to return to your blog. On the other side if they see that you rarely post any new information it is very unlikely that they will come back. You should post several times a week if you expect to get regular readers to your blog.
Use Targeted Keywords
For every post that you write it is imperative that you use a targeted keyword or keyword phrase for that post. Using keywords or keyword phrases in your posts will help people find your post when they run a search on what you wrote about in a particular post. Every post should use a different keyword. Take the time to do some keyword research on the subject that you intend to write about and use them in your posts.
Blogrolling
Many blog owners don’t take advantage of the blogroll feature that every blog is equipped with. Linking to other blogs will get you some nice back links. Don’t hesitate to refer to another blog that has information on the topic that you are writing about in your post because not only are you giving the referring blog a link, you are getting a link to your blog from the blog that you linked to. The more often you add a link in your posts the better. Keep the blogroll feature in mind when you post and don’t be afraid to comment on other blogs because that will get you a link back to your blog as well.
Keep an eye on your traffic
Keeping your eye on your traffic ties in with knowing who your readers are and what they want. To be successful with a blog or any website for that matter, you must know what your readers are most interested in and give it to them. If you write a post about getting more traffic to a website and a big percentage of your readers are reading that post it only stands to reason that you should be writing more on that subject. If you don’t have a tracking system in place on your blog you should get one setup right away because every day that passes by you are losing traffic.
A good place to go is statcounter. Statcounter is a great tracking system that will give you all the stats you will ever need for free. You can signup for Statcounter here.
If it has been difficult getting your blog off the ground try the above 5 business blogging tips. I think that you will find that they will help a lot.

Write A Press Release and Explode Your Business Presence
Most business owners fail to see the benefit of using press releases as a way to get their online or offline businesses known. Because of this very fact those who do use them will drive a lot of new business to their online or offline business if done properly.
If you think that your business is not newsworthy, think again. Go to Google news or any news related website and you will find many well-written, business related, press releases.
A press release is simply unknown news. It doesn’t have to be breaking news. It only needs to be newsworthy. If you have a product or service that no one knows about then you have newsworthy, press release material.
Here’s what happens when you submit a press release. Your press release is submitted to news sites, big and small. The news site will look at your press release and decide whether or not your press release is newsworthy or not. Most of the smaller sites will pick it up if it is properly written and easy to understand. The big guys such as CNN will look for unique information. Sites like Google and Yahoo is where an online business can do well because they are more apt to pick up a well-written release that is Internet or even better, it is search engine related.
The thing that you have to understand is that a press release is not an advertisement. It is a factual, narrative, newsworthy story and must be written that way. When you write a press release, you must write it in a third person fashion as if a reporter was interviewing you and the reporter is reporting your news to the world. In other words, when you write a press release, you are the reporter as well as the business owner who is being interviewed.
Writing a press release can be a daunting task because most of us are not used to writing in this way. However, once you have done a few of these it becomes much easier to do. As with anything that we do in life, the more we do it, the better we become at it.
If you have a new or existing business that you want to expose to the world there is no better way of doing it than through a well-written press release. If one of the big boys, such as Google, Yahoo, or even CNN picks it up, expect to get clobbered with more business than you can handle which is a nice problem to have.
If you feel that you are incapable of doing a press release yourself, you can always hire someone to do it for you. There are many services that will write it for a fee. Run a Google search for press release services. You will find a list of many who will perform this service for you.
Most press release sites have a free submission service as well as a paid service. While you can submit using the free version of the service, and you should for the most part, especially if you are just starting out however, you should use the paid submission service because of the extra benefits that it brings. With a paid submission, your press release will go out within a day or two and will be submitted to more news sites. I suggest that you do a paid submission quarterly and use the free service the rest of the time. Pay submissions are pretty inexpensive. Prweb is one of the largest on the web charges $40. Paying $40 every three months won’t break anyone considering the extra advantages that it can bring to your business.
You should try and write the press release yourself because hiring someone to do it for you can be quite expensive and unnecessary because with practice anyone can write a good press release him or herself. Check out Prweb and run a search for your type of business and read through the press releases there to get a better idea of how a press release should be written, and what it should look like. You can find Prweb here. http://prweb.com
One last thing that you should know about submitting press releases, most business owners will only submit a press release quarterly at most, while many others will do it just once and not do it again. If you want to get ahead and stay ahead of the competition in the business field that you are in, you should submit a new press release monthly using the free submission services and pay for it every three months.
You will be amazed how much better your business will do by using press releases because of the free publicity that it will bring to your business. Write a new press release often and watch your business grow a lot faster.

NEW ARTICLE WEBSITE IS OPEN FOR IMMEDIATE USE.
PLYMOUTH, MA, (March 24, 2007)-Brian Queenan the owner of The Truth About Internet Marketing blog has just opened a new article website named Article Knowledgebase and it can be found at http://articleknowledgebase.com
According to Brian, article writing is a critical part of marketing online as well as offline and says that many business owners think that submitting articles is just for online marketers which couldn’t be further from the truth. While writing articles are great for online businesses they are also perfect for promoting an offline business as well. Articles are not only for business owners. Many people submit articles simply because they enjoy writing and want to share what they have written with the world. Article sites cater to all walks of life no matter what a persons intentions are with his or her article, there’s a place for them on an article website.
He went on to say that there is not a better or more cost effective way to get a business known, no matter what that business may be, than through writing business articles and submitting them to various article websites because almost all of them are free of charge. There’s simply not a better way to drive potential customers to a business than through written articles whether it be an online business or one that is in the real world.
Brian added that the biggest advantage to writing and submitting articles for any business is that there are no geographical boundaries for where an article will be effective. No matter where you live in the world an article, if written well, will bring potential customers to an online website or an offline business. It doesn’t matter which it is, both will be as equally effective.
Brian Queenan’s Article Knowledgebase is online and ready to take on new article submissions and is free of charge. If you have any questions, Brian can be contacted by email at administrator@articleknowledgebase.com and the URL address for Article Knowledgebase is; http://articleknowledgebase.com

Brand New Website Coming Soon
It’s no secret that I really like using articles to promote my online businesses. The fact that this site got noticed from the very beginning is largely due to the fact that a lot of the promoting that I did was through articles that I submitted to various article sites.
I will tell you again, there are few better ways to promote a business than with article writing. The best part of promoting using an article site is that it is free and is in most cases better than any other type of submission service that you have to pay for. The results are generally far better.
When you submit an article and it is accepted it can be picked up by many other websites which will give you extra back links to your website without you having to do anything more than submit it in the first place. I submitted ten articles for this blog and submitted them to three different article sites. For about four hours work on my part those articles resulted in over 600 back links to this blog all for free. That’s where most of my initial traffic to this blog came from.
I’ve decided to expand my online existence by building a new online business that I think that you, my readers, will be interested in because of what I am willing to do to get it off the ground and moving in the right direction and will be very beneficial to anyone who takes advantage of it.
I have just completed building a new article site. The name of the new article site is Article Knowledgebase. I have populated the site with reprinted articles from various article sites so that I have some initial content for the early going.
I intend to submit a press release on the new article site within the next week to two weeks at the most. The thing about press releases is that they can do very well and be picked up by some big news sites or can flop and may not be picked up at all. It all depends on how well it’s written and how it is presented. I intend to make sure that it gets picked up by many news sites. I won’t release it until it is exactly right. My point is that after a good press release goes live all hell breaks loose and things get crazy. That’s why what I’m about to offer will have to be acted on quickly because once the press release goes live this offer will no longer be available.
Here’s my offer. Go to my new article site and register as an author and then submit your article, or articles, and I will personally tell you what, if anything, is wrong with it and will tell you how to correct whatever problem that the article may have so that you will have the very best article possible for when the site officially goes live. Do it as soon as possible because I can only guarantee this for the next 7 days. After that I can’t guarantee you anything. I will keep you posted if I extend it past that time due to not getting the press release submitted within that time frame.
People don’t just go to article sites to submit articles. Many use them to get information on whatever it is that they are interested in. It’s more of a library than it is a place to promote a business. That’s why properly written articles used for promotional reasons do so well and that’s why it is so very important that it is written well. The better that it is written the more people it will attract to a website.
I can also tell you that far more articles are rejected than are accepted by article sites for reasons from being too spammy or incoherent to poor spelling and grammar. There are a number of things that will get an article rejected. Those are just a few. That’s why it is important to take me up on this while you can because I have never been rejected and all of my articles have done very well because I know exactly what to do to get the best results from every article that I submit.
I have never hyped any of my readers to this point and I’m not about to start now. The reason that I am doing this is I want to get as much original well written articles as I possibly can before the press release goes live. I can’t do that on my own. My helping you will in turn help me launch a better article site. It’s a win, win, deal. I get good information and you get an education on article writing.
Here’s a big reason to get your article submitted before the press release goes out. When the press release begins to attract people to the article site, and there will be many, you will have your article sitting there for everyone to see which will send them to your website if they like what you have to say in your article.
Ok. Before I wrap this up I have one last thing to tell you. I plan to take 5 articles that I feel are the best and feature them on the front page of the article site. That means, no matter how many people submit after you do your article will be one of the first 5 on the front page of the article site. It will be there when the press release goes live which means that everyone who visits the site will see your article listed before anyone else’s.
Here’s one last reason why you should do this. No article site will ever tell you what is wrong with your article or tell you what you can do to make it better. I’m telling you that this is a rare opportunity that will probably never come your way again. So don’t pass this up. Even if you have never written an article before, this is a great chance for you to learn how to do it right so that you will always be accepted when submitting articles to other article sites.
Here’s the URL to Article Knowledgebase. http://articleknowledgebase.com Go sign up now because there isn’t much time. Once the press release is submitted this offer will end.
