How to Get Rich Online
I read an article over at ezine articles called how to get rich online. While I agree with some of the points in this article there are some things that I don’t agree with.
One of the points of this article states that you need to find a problem and solve it or improve on a product that is already out there. Let’s face it, most of us are not capable of doing this and it is totally unnecessary. You can make a lot of money online without having to reinvent the wheel.
Another thing that the article says is to start an affiliate program of your own so that others can promote your newly created product.
While all of this sounds great it’s not very realistic. As I said before most are not capable of creating their own products on their own. Unless you have a lot of money to invest so that you can hire someone to create a product for you, this is something that you probably don’t want to consider.
Staring your own affiliate program is a lot easier said than done. I ran my own affiliate program several years ago and can tell you that there are a lot of headaches associated with running your own affiliate program. The biggest problem is that you have absolutely no control over how an affiliate will promote your product. You can set all kinds of guidelines on what an affiliate can or cannot do however, it is the final decision of the affiliate marketer as to whether he or she will follow the guidelines of the affiliate program or not.
The problem is that many affiliates will do anything to make a sale. You will have to deal with your affiliates spamming people. If the spamming problem gets back to your hosting provider you will be shutdown without notice. There are many other problems with running an affiliate program, spamming happens to be the biggest problem.
The article goes on to say that you can’t make a lot of money without the help of others. That couldn’t be further from the truth. If you find a product that is not very competitive that pays a high commission you most certainly can make a great living online.
Research, dedication, and hard work are what it takes to do well online. You absolutely do not need to depend on other people to get you there. No one will take better care of your business than you will. The biggest problem is that everyone is looking for the easy way out. Do a little bit of work and you will be amazed at what you can accomplish in a relatively short period of time.

Why you Need RSS
If your website doesn’t use RSS you really should consider setting up one for your website.
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. Since you have a website, I assume that you want to get visitors to your website. An RSS feed will help you do just that. An RSS feed provides short descriptions of a website’s content. If you were to take a run over to technorati and run a search on anything you like, you will get a snippet of the most recent content for each website that is displayed.
Here’s the importance of using RSS to you. Every time that you update your website with new content or with whatever change that is made to your website, your RSS will announce to the world, including the search engines, that changes have been made and in return will send people to your website to check out those changes.
Bottom line, using RSS will help drive new, as well as returning traffic to your website. Another great benefit of having an RSS feed setup on your website is that when someone visits your site and if he or she likes the content on your website they can subscribe your feed via email or through a feed reader. This is a great benefit because you can bet that this person will be returning to your website sometime in the near future.
As we all know the more often people come back to our website the better the chance there is that they will buy something. The returning visitor’s come back because they trust you and see you as an authority on whatever it is you do and some of them will tell others about your website as well. There’s nothing better than word of mouth. It really gives you, and your website, credibility.
RSS is probably mostly responsible for the increasing number of blog sites popping up because they have RSS built right in. You don’t have to have a blog to run RSS on your website. Any website can use RSS. If you are interested in setting up an RSS feed on your website, you can use this form to help you set one up. http://www.webreference.com
One last thing that you need to understand about RSS, if you don’t have a lot of content on your website and you don’t intend to update it on a regular basis, RSS will not do you much good. Regularly updated websites are the sites that do the best with the search engines and in general for that matter. RSS will help you get the most out of your updated content.
In a nutshell, RSS will help get you noticed with the search engines along with your visitors.

Is Getting Web Traffic an Endless Chore?
If you are one of most webmasters getting web traffic probably feels like an endless chore with little or no results. You probably have shelled out a handsome amount of money to this end. I see it all the time. The biggest problem is that most Internet marketers look at the normal ways of advertising their web site. They try to market their product online as the only means of advertising. Think for minute here. Before the Internet, how would have you tried to sell something?
I’ll bet that you came up with a few places, didn’t you? I will guarantee you that almost none of the Internet marketers who are failing have advertised their site outside of the Internet and I will almost guarantee that those who are successful have at one time or another have.
A few places to consider is your local newspaper and add the URL to your web site in your ad. You may want to consider making up some signs and putting them up on busy streets around your area. Another idea would be to make up some flyers and put them on windshields of cars at local shopping malls. These ideas may not get a ton of results but they will give you results. If you are just starting out this may be the way to go. You need to start somewhere. Brainstorm on other ways to advertise outside of the net. I guess you have to ask yourself this, is what you are doing now working? Advertising using outside sources will help you create a small viral market which can result in a bigger market online. There is not a more powerful way to get customers than through word of mouth.
To be successful on the Internet, you have to do things that others are not doing. The most successful marketers use approaches that others don’t. If you do what everyone else does you’ll get what everyone else gets which is nothing. Be different from the rest and understand that will take work will separate you from the rest of the get rich quick Internet marketers out there who expect the sales to drop into their lap without having to do anything to get it.
