An Internet Marketing Plan is Essential

Having an Internet marketing plan is essential to the success of any web-based business. If you don’t know where you want to go with your web-based business how can you expect to get anywhere? That’s where a good solid Internet marketing plan comes into play.

Your Internet marketing plan should be in place before you ever go online with your web-based business.

One of the biggest reasons that many web businesses fail is probably because they never had an Internet marketing plan in place for their online business. Many just put up a website and throw caution to the wind hoping that he or she will make money. I can tell you that almost none will until some kind of Internet marketing plan is in place.

Before you ever put up a website you need to know what your website is going to be about and how you are going to monetize it etc. Don’t be one of those amateurs who throw up a webpage and throw your affiliate links on it and call it a website and hope for the best because it will fail miserably if you do.

Having an Internet marketing plan in place will help you build a website with substance and you will have a much better chance to succeed than just slapping up a website and hoping for the best.

There is a lot of competition in the online world with marketers who are experts at what they do. Without an Internet marketing plan in place, these marketers will squash you. Internet marketing is tough enough when done right and is impossible when you don’t do everything that you need to do to be successful.

If you want to have any chance at all of succeeding online it is absolutely essential to get an Internet marketing plan into place before you ever put it online.

If you haven’t drafted that Internet marketing plan yet go and get it done so that you can get a clear picture of what you want your web-based business to be and where you want it to go.

Here’s a link to an article that will help you draft your Internet marketing plan.

Adwords Tycoons

I’m sure that some of you have seen the Adwords Tycoons program that has been circulating on the net for a while now. I get spammed just about daily with this thing.

I am very leery of products that have a time limit on them. You know, the ones that say buy now before the price goes up or buy now before I stop selling this forever.

I can tell you that as long as this thing makes money they will continue to sell it. The price almost never goes up on these things either. It’s just a ploy to convince the reader that if they don’t buy now they will lose out forever.

The sales letter for these types of products are always better than the actual product is.

With Adwords Tycoons they really do need to have a great sales pitch to justify the $1500 price tag that they put on the thing.

I can tell you from personal experience none of these programs are anywhere nearly as easy as they are made to sound and forget about being taken by the hand stuff too. Everything that you do in Internet Marketing does require some level of knowledge otherwise you will never understand what is being taught to begin with.

Stay away from Adwords Tycoons because the price tag is way too high. I’m sure that you can get good info on the adwords system at a much lower price.

I use adwords and I can tell you that it is a tough game to beat even if you know what you are doing. It is however, straightforward enough to know that there are no hidden secrets to using adwords as Adwords Tycoons claims there are. I’ll bet that you can readily get the same information for free online if you were to look for it.

Bottom line. Stay away from Adwords Tycoons. It has scam written all over it.

Haven’t Posted For Awhile

I know that I didn’t write a thing here in the month of August. I will be writing often from here on. The reason I didn’t post anything in August is because I’ve been busy updating a piece of software that I created about a year ago. The revisions should be completed in a month or so. Will let you know when it’s ready and will make it available here for free.

Pay Per Click Banner Advertising Fraud

Pay per click and pay per click banner advertising fraud is a real problem that no ppc advertiser can ignore.

The problem with pay per click and pay per click banner advertising is that there are so many hands in the till. Everyone benefits and stands to make money except for the ppc advertiser who has to foot the bill for phantom clicks.

While the ppc advertising networks claim to be combating click fraud really makes you wonder if they really are given the fact that the advertising network and the publisher stand to profit from pay per click and pay per click banner advertising when click fraud occurs. Since the ppc advertising network stands to make the biggest piece of the profit gives them little incentive to put a stop to click fraud.

A pay per click or pay per click banner advertising publisher can commit click fraud in so many ways. The first may come from the publisher by clicking on ppc ads on his or her own website. The advertising network can easily detect this form of click fraud and makes up a very small percentage of click fraud.

Publishers who deliberately commit pay per click or pay per click banner advertising fraud are more likely to use a javascript that will simulate a real person clicking on ads from their web pages.

A less sophisticated way for a publisher to commit pay per click or pay per click banner advertising fraud would be to have friends and family click on their ppc ads. While this method may be less sophisticated, it is very effective and difficult to detect because the clicks will occur from multiple locations and multiple computers.

Pay per click and pay per click banner advertising fraud does not only occur from publishers. Competitors in the same market who want to weaken the advertisers business may fraudulently click on the advertisers ads hundreds of times a day in an attempt to deplete the ppc advertisers advertising spend in hopes of weakening or eliminating the advertiser as a competitor.

No one really knows how big of a problem pay per click and pay per click banner advertising fraud is. The advertising networks play this down and will tell you that it is small. It’s pretty hard to believe what the advertising networks tell us because they are the ones who are making the biggest profits from click fraud.

I don’t know what the answer is to the pay per click and pay per click banner advertising fraud. Because of the anonymity of the Internet we are all wide open to all kinds of fraudulent activity.

My only advice is to tread carefully and to keep a close eye on your pay per click and pay per click banner advertising activity.

How to Check Incoming Links Number

An incoming links number is the number of incoming links to a website from other websites. The more incoming links from relevant websites, a website gets the better.

The higher the incoming links number is and the more relevant those incoming links are, the higher the website will rank with the search engines.

It won’t do you much good if you get incoming links from websites that are not related to what your website is about. In fact it can do more harm than good. That’s why it is important that your incoming links number is related to your website.

The best place to check what your incoming links number is for your website is through Yahoo. Because Google will only show a partial list of your incoming links you won’t be able to get the whole picture. Go to Yahoo and type in the search box link:yourdomain.com replacing yourdomain with the actual name of your domain.

The higher the relevant incoming links number of incoming links to your website, the higher your website will rank on the search engines for your keywords and the more likely your website will be found.

It is very important to accumulate a high incoming links number because the more incoming links that you have the more the search engines will like you and index you well on their index.

The easiest and quickest ways of increasing your incoming links number is by posting on relevant blogs, forums, submitting to directories, (in relevant categories) submitting articles to article sites, and submitting press releases on a regular basis just to name a few.

Getting relevant high quality incoming links is a vital part of SEO. Read the four posts linked below to get a better idea of how to increase your incoming links number using directories, articles, and press releases. Which is the Best Affiliate Marketing Program?

Finding the best affiliate marketing program can be confusing because of all the hype associated with most affiliate programs. Hype may not be the best term to describe many affiliate programs because many of them down right lie about what their product will do. I’ve said it before and it is worth saying again, the sales page for many affiliate products are better than the product itself.

I won’t stick my neck out by telling you what the best affiliate marketing program is. I will tell you what the best affiliate marketing program type is and what to look out for when determining which is the best affiliate marketing program for you and hopefully will help you make a more informed decision when choosing an affiliate program.

Watch out for affiliate program’s that claim that they are the best affiliate marketing program or the pitch page makes outrageous claims about the product because that is nothing but hype to get you to market their product. Those who truly have the best affiliate marketing program will never have to say they are the best because their reputation will speak for itself.

Keep in mind that your name and your reputation is everything when it comes to marketing online. Because your customers will only know you by your online reputation it is really important that you are known as someone who helps their customers and can be trusted. The only way to know that you have joined the best affiliate marketing program is by the product or products they sell. Your reputation is only as good as the products you sell. Take the time to find the best affiliate marketing program that sells products that will be beneficial to your customer.

I think I’ve said this before in another post that the best affiliate marketing programs are those that sell physical products because you will be selling a product that the customer is looking for and it is more likely to do what the customer expects it to do and is generally much easier to target your customer base.

In my opinion affiliate programs that sell digital products are generally not the best affiliate marketing programs to promote because it is very difficult to know whether or not the provided information or software is any good or just a bunch of hype. Sell people garbage and they will never buy from you again.

The best way to determine for yourself whether the affiliate program that you are considering joining is the best affiliate marketing program is by asking yourself if you would buy the product or products they sell. If your answer is no, the affiliate program in question is probably not the best affiliate marketing program to join.

Take the time to do some research. The best places to get info about a product are from forums or comments posted on blogs because these people are more likely to tell the truth about the product and whether it is garbage or not. Forums and blogs are the best places to determine if the affiliate program that you are considering is one of the best affiliate marketing programs and whether it is a good fit or not.

Co-Registration Advertising. What it is, and how it Works

How Co-registration advertising works is when someone signs up for your newsletter or ezine a list of ads will appear on your thank-you page giving your subscriber the option to subscribe to an ezine or newsletter on other websites. Each time your thank-you page is displayed and shows the ads for the other websites, your ad will be shown on multiple thank-you pages on other people’s websites. The number of websites that your ad will appear on will depend on the Co-registration advertising program that you are involved with.

To get started you will need to join a Co-registration advertising program. Once you have signed up you are given a piece of javascript code that you place on your newsletter or ezine thank-you page. The code that you place on your thank-you page will display the ads from the other websites.

The whole idea behind Co-registration advertising is it will help you build your subscriber list much faster than trying to do it yourself. Let’s say that you join a Co-registration advertising program that will display your ad on 3 thank-you pages on other websites for each time that your thank-you page displays their ads, which will give you three times the exposure for your ezine or newsletter.

To get more targeted traffic your ad will be placed on websites who’s niche is the same or similar to your niche.

While this all sounds great and should work very well for those who try Co-registration advertising there are a couple of very big drawbacks that I can see you will encounter.

The first problem with Co-registration advertising that comes to mind is you will be competing against other websites within your niche and subscribers will be receiving multiple newsletters and ezines to their inbox lessening the chance of your newsletter or ezine email from being opened.

The second thing about Co-registration advertising to take into consideration is that many subscribers won’t understand what they are getting themselves into until they start getting multiple newsletters and ezine emails and may see it as spam and report you to your host. Most hosting companies are not sympathetic to webmasters where spam is concerned and probably disable hosting accounts without notice due to spam .

I personally don’t get involved with email marketing because of the problems it can cause. If you’d like to give Co-registration advertising a try, you can join through Advertising Know How for free. They also have a paid upgrade version as well. The upgrade version will give you six impressions for every, one, impression that your thank-you page displays. The free version gives you three for every, one, impression.

You can signup for the Co-registration advertising program here.

Problems that can Arise With a Blogging Spouse

Do you have a blogging spouse or perhaps you, yourself, are a blogging spouse. As most of us know blogs were created as an online diary that can be viewed by others.

If you or your blogging spouse run a business blog all information given on the blog will probably be unbiased and based more on facts rather than opinions unlike a personal blog that is based more on biased opinions rather than fact.

While a personal blog may be a great place to get out you or your blogging spouse’s stress and frustration it can also be a place where you or your blogging spouse may unintentionally air your unwanted dirty laundry so to speak.

When we get angry we generally say things that we really don’t mean later on. The problem is, in that fit of anger you or your blogging spouse may put something in writing about this anger.

The problem with talking about why you are mad about something especially if that anger is aimed at your spouse or your blogging spouse’s anger is aimed at you, everything that the blog readers read is one sided and very biased. Let’s face it, most of us will not admit to being wrong when we are in the moment of anger. We may admit to being wrong when that anger has subsided but will never do so when we are angry.

The serious problem comes into play when the readers of the blog post read you or your blogging spouse’s, angry post. People tend to take sides and since the blog readers have only one side that they can take which of course is that of the author of the post. There are two sides to everything and it is unfair to give only one side of the problem.

I guess the bottom line here is if you or your blogging spouse, have a personal blog don’t get too personal especially if it involves you and your spouse’s personal differences. Stick with the more upbeat things. The personal stuff should stay private. I understand that people love dirt and will come running to read it but you have to ask yourself is it worth it?

If you feel that you need to clear the air by expressing your anger or you feel that it is the only way that you can get people to visit your blog you may want to form a partnership with your spouse so that he or she can express their side as well. By doing this you will accomplish the traffic that you want and at the same time keep your marriage intact.

Personally I wouldn’t air my dirty laundry in public. Different strokes for different folks; it’s what makes life interesting I guess.
