I have a free html text editor that I just finished updating and have made it available for download from here. This free html text editor is not anything fancy but it has been designed for easy use.

You don’t need to know html at all to use this free html text editor. It has been designed so that anyone can use it. If you can type a URL in your browsers address bar, you have the ability to write your own web pages with the help of this free html text editor of course.

There are six layouts built in to the software. They are very basic layouts that you can add whatever graphics you like to help make them not so basic. Don’t expect anything really fancy. The layouts were intentionally made basic because the more basic a layout is the more you can do with it.

With the download of this free html text editor also comes full redistribution rights. In other words you can sell it, give it away or do whatever you want with it. The software comes with a brander that allows you to brand the software as your very own. You can add your personal name, company name or whatever you want and stake a claim to the software as your own.

The name of this free html text editor is Instant Web Page Generator. As I said before, this free html text editor creates very basic web pages. If you think that they are too basic or after trying this html editor you think that it is total garbage, I want to hear about it. If you like it, I’d like to hear about that too.

The free html text editor software is very basic and extremely easy to use. You simply select colors, or click a button to add some html code and answer some questions. As I said before, anyone can do this.

This free html text editor was built around windows xp. If you are using a windows platform below windows 2000 the software will not work. If you are using vista, the free html text editor may or may not work. It has not been tested on this version of windows. If the directory structure on vista is similar to win xp, the software should work. If it’s not, it will not work.

Have you thought about a mentoring program to learn Internet marketing? If you have, be careful because you can get ripped off for a lot of money and get nothing from your investment.

There are a lot of scams out there that will tell you that they will help you learn Internet marketing and will teach you nothing. The only thing that they will do is take your money and teach you well known and easy to get information that you can get for free online or even worse take your money and run.

What the scammer does is call you and tell you that they represent a well-known Guru and that they will teach you the exact strategies that the Guru used to get rich online.

Before anyone slams me here and I know that there are a lot of trolls out there that have nothing better to do. I am not saying that all mentoring programs are scams and that they are all bad. You can learn Internet marketing with these mentoring programs. I’m just telling you to use common sense and do some research before you get involved with anything like this.

On average it will cost you anywhere from $5000 to $10,000 for one on one mentoring. Make sure that you get involved with a mentoring program that will give you your money’s worth. Keep in mind hiring a mentor to learn Internet marketing is a big investment. You don’t want to pay that much money for something and get little or no value in return. The whole idea behind mentoring is to learn what you need to learn about Internet marketing and at the same time recoup your investment.

Stay away from scam artists that call you out of the blue and offer to mentor you because these usually are scams. You will generally get calls after you have purchased something from a well-known marketer and the caller will tell you that they represent the well-known marketer that you recently purchased from when in fact they have nothing to do with the well-known marketer at all. If you get a call from nowhere, hang up because the person on the other end is trying to scam you.

If you truly want to learn Internet marketing and feel that you can’t learn it on your own, do some research before you get involved with any mentoring program. Run searches for mentoring programs and make a list of possible choices. Go to ripoffreport.com to see if anyone has complained about the company that you are considering. Run a search on the program followed by the word scam to see if anything comes up. If everything checks out, give them a call and find out exactly what you are going to learn about, and tell them about any concerns that you may have. If they do not supply a phone number, scratch them off the list because all legitimate mentoring programs should have a phone number that you can call.

Before you hire a mentor to learn Internet marketing check them out thoroughly before making any commitment. You should seek them out, not the other way around.

A few months ago almost all of my posts on this blog ended up in the Google supplemental index. The strange part of it was that several of my posts were listed on page one on the main index of Google one day, to only be found in Google’s supplemental index a few days later. I even had posts that were on the first page of Google for several months disappear.

At first I was absolutely baffled as to where these top listed posts were going. Once they were gone from page one on Google they couldn’t be found anywhere on Google at all.

The only way that I could find the posts was to run an Allintitle search on them which by the way is a good way to see if you are in the supplemental index or not because at the bottom of your listing it will say supplemental results. If you see that on your listing, you are in the supplemental index. Google’s supplemental index is not where you want to be because you will rarely be found.

By doing some research I stumbled upon a website that gave an explanation of why websites end up in Google’s supplemental index which I know about but had never considered it because it hadn’t been an issue since I had started blogging.

The reason that a website ends up in Google’s supplemental index is because of duplicate content. Google penalizes websites that have repeated content on their site.

A blog is structured to put your content in many places even though you’ve only written that content once. Everything that you write about ends up on the first page of your blog until it drops off after so many posts are written. Your post can also be found on the category index page, in the form of a single post, in the blog archive, etc. Even though you have written the content just once it can be found all over your blog and Google sees this as content that has been duplicated and that’s the main reason that websites end up in the supplemental index.

Google claims that the supplemental index is not for penalizing websites, nor will being in there hinder web searchers from finding your website. I can tell you from personal experience that it greatly reduces the chance of web searchers from finding you if you are in Google’s supplemental index.

There is a solution. There is a plugin that will get rid of all of the duplicate content that your blog creates. The plugin is called seo_wordpress. I setup this plugin a couple of months ago and all of my posts here are now back on Google’s main index. This plugin works really well folks. It does take a while to kick in but it definitely works. If your blog is running on wordpress software this is a plugin that you can’t do without. Here’s where you can download seo_wordpress. If you are having the same problem that I was having you really should get this plugin right away and get out of Google’s supplemental index once and for all.

This post really isn’t about blogging mommies. I’m using blogging mommies to stress a point. Although there are some really well done mommy blogs out there, this has nothing to do with blogging mommies.

The point is, like blogging mommies blogs, your blog needs to be specialized and geared to a specific topic and a specific group of people if you expect to do well and if you expect people to find you.

Blogging mommies is a good example of this because it targets a specific group of people and at the same time is topic specific and most importantly, there is a lot you can write about on the subject.

I’m not suggesting that you go out and start a blogging mommies site. I am suggesting that you make your blog subject specific and targeted to a specific group of people. My blogging mommies example does both.

Find a topic that is geared to a specific group of people and has a lot of material that you can write about and run with it.

The best topics to write about are the ones that are not super competitive. I ran an allintitle on Google for blogging mommies and found that only 133 websites use blogging mommies in their title and approximately 2000 people search for the phrase blogging mommies every month. If you don’t know how to run an allintitle search read this.

List out a number of topics that may be a good fit and you think may not be that competitive and do some research on the topics that you have listed to see how competitive each one is. Use a keyword tool to see how many people are searching for your topic on the search engines. If there is a decent number of searches and a low number of websites with your topic in their title you probably have a very good subject to write about that should get you indexed well on the search engines and should get you some traffic rather quickly. You will find a couple of links in the link that I provide above of a couple of places that you can do keyword research.

Find a topic that targets a certain group and will give you similar results as my blogging mommies example here and you will find that your blog will grow much quicker and you will have a more loyal following.

Know who your readers are
You have to know who your readers are if you expect to have a successful blog. Without the knowledge of who your readers are, how will you know what you are writing about on your blog is what your readers want? The best way to find out what your readers are most interested in is to track your posts to see what posts are being read the most and write more about those topics.

Post Often
One of the most critical things with a blog is that you post often. Posting once a month will not cut it. If your visitors see that you post on a regular basis they are much more likely to return to your blog. On the other side if they see that you rarely post any new information it is very unlikely that they will come back. You should post several times a week if you expect to get regular readers to your blog.

Use Targeted Keywords
For every post that you write it is imperative that you use a targeted keyword or keyword phrase for that post. Using keywords or keyword phrases in your posts will help people find your post when they run a search on what you wrote about in a particular post. Every post should use a different keyword. Take the time to do some keyword research on the subject that you intend to write about and use them in your posts.

Blogrolling
Many blog owners don’t take advantage of the blogroll feature that every blog is equipped with. Linking to other blogs will get you some nice back links. Don’t hesitate to refer to another blog that has information on the topic that you are writing about in your post because not only are you giving the referring blog a link, you are getting a link to your blog from the blog that you linked to. The more often you add a link in your posts the better. Keep the blogroll feature in mind when you post and don’t be afraid to comment on other blogs because that will get you a link back to your blog as well.

Keep an eye on your traffic
Keeping your eye on your traffic ties in with knowing who your readers are and what they want. To be successful with a blog or any website for that matter, you must know what your readers are most interested in and give it to them. If you write a post about getting more traffic to a website and a big percentage of your readers are reading that post it only stands to reason that you should be writing more on that subject. If you don’t have a tracking system in place on your blog you should get one setup right away because every day that passes by you are losing traffic.

Hit Booster is a submission software that I’ve been getting spammed on a consistent basis from Sebastian Foss who has been peddling it for the past few months.

Foss claims that Hit Booster will bring you in tons of targeted traffic in a matter of just 15 minutes after everything has been setup.

Exactly how Hit Booster works is very unclear to me. There is no real information on the Hit Booster website or anywhere else that I can find. Hit Booster is supposed to send out the URL of a website to who knows where and within minutes you will magically be getting targeted traffic to your website.

Hit Booster in my opinion is just another too good to be true software that does absolutely nothing. The fact that I don’t know where my information is going is enough to keep me away from Hit Booster.

Sebastian Foss the creator of Hit Booster is another reason to stay away from this software. If you run a search engine search on his name followed by the word scam you will get quite a list of unhappy people who have bought products from him. Here’s a search I ran on Ripoff Report. Ripoff Report on Sebastian Foss you will find his name come up several times on their site as well.

From my personal experience with automated traffic generators, they simply don’t work and generally will get you in trouble for spam. I suspect that Hit Booster is no different.

From what I’ve read about Sebastian Foss, I would never consider buying Hit Booster or anything for that matter from him and suggest that you don’t either. Here’s the link to the Hit Booster website if you’d like to check it out.

Yesterday I wrote about defining an Internet Marketing Plan but probably wasn’t as clear as I should have been about formulating an Internet Marketing Plan that may be right for you.

We are all different and we all have our own interests and we are all good at different things. I’ll give you a short example of what your Internet marketing plan might look like.

Let’s say that you have the nicest lawn in your neighborhood and you know a lot about lawn care. By having the knowledge of this one thing you would be able to define a very vivid Internet Marketing Plan.

You would start out by listing the topics that you would write about on your website which would be how to get that lawn to look great and how to maintain that lawn to look good all year long.

You would then figure out what lawn products you would need to sell to get that lawn to look the way your lawn looks.

All you are doing here is outlining what your website is going to be about and how you will make money with it.

There will be a fair amount of people in the above example that would be interested in having a better lawn. If you show them how to get that lawn to look better they will buy the products needed to get this result.

As part of your Internet marketing Plan you would need to find a supplier of the lawn products. This could be a wholesaler that you buy directly from and resell the lawn products yourself or a drop shipper who will ship the lawn products directly to your customer or even a supplier who has an affiliate program and will pay you a commission for the referral.

Basically, an Internet Marketing Plan is a detailed road map for your online business. You need to work out all of the details of your online business to avoid problems when it goes live. It’s pretty difficult to sell grass seed without a supplier. These are details that need to be worked out before you go live online.
